Due to air travel disruption, the offices at Flex-Able Travel will be fully manned over the weekend from 9am to 5pm. The duty manager will cover overnight as usual. The situation with the Volcano is a moving target and currently UK airspace is set to open at 19:00 hrs this evening, 16th April 2010, although this is set to be reviewed at 0830hrs. However, we operated a small shuttle service to Brussels last night which went very well. We want to extend this service to Frankfurt today and over the weekend.

Brussels station serves Amsterdam, Paris and Madrid very well by train and Frankfurt to Eastern Europe and Italy.  From Cambridgeshire to Brussels including Eurotunnel takes 6 hours and Frankfurt is a further 4 hours onwards.

The fares are around £200 per person, 3 to a car to Brussels; £300 per person to Frankfurt.

If we can use our seven seater the fares will drop if we are able to fill the vehicle. Cars will depart sometime this afternoon.

Collections will from Huntingdon, Bar Hill and onwards. Drop offs will be at the Central Stations only. Please treat this is a direct transport service. If you want a “point to point” service then contact the office for a direct quote.

I have drivers ready to go with about an hours notice. All cars are licensed, RAC’d and insured for EU Europe.

We have a car leaving for Dover Docks at 10.30 this morning if anyone wants to catch the ferry to Calais, please call asap.

Also note, if you have any onward travel from Brussels or Frankfurt, try and pre book your tickets on the internet as we have been informed the queues are enormous at these stations.
