Airport scanners

Full body scanners have started be introduced into our UK airports and are operational at Manchester and Heathrow. According to news updates not every single passenger will go through the scanner. Individuals will be isolated and asked to be scanned, if they refuse, they will not be permitted to travel.
An airport representative said “the image generated by the body scanner can not be stored or captured, nor can security officers viewing the images recognise people. Contrary to reports, the equipment does not allow security staff to see passengers naked”.
